At Pure Turtle, all of our psychotherapy services are grounded in one core principle: kindness — especially kindness toward yourself.

When challenges arise, we’re often hardest on ourselves. Whether we’re dealing with stress, overwhelm, or performance-related issues, we tend to believe we should cope alone and “sort it out” without help. This pressure, and the frustration that follows, only intensifies the problem.

Modern life doesn’t make it easier. In an increasingly frantic world, we accumulate endless to-do lists and expectations — striving to meet targets, please others, and keep everything running smoothly.

In the process, our own physical and emotional needs often fall to the bottom of the list. Even when a part of us knows we’re overwhelmed and need to stop, we override our body’s signals and keep pushing forward, creating conditions for both mental and physical strain.

At Pure Turtle, we help you step back, reflect, and then move forward with clarity. Our approach is calm, relaxed, and free of judgement, allowing you to speak openly, recognise what you truly need, and take the next steps at a pace that feels achievable and supportive.

If you choose — and many clients do — we complement massage with hypnotherapy. This deeply relaxing process accelerates positive change by combining the subconscious mind, reinforcing new patterns, relaxing the body and renewing the sprit and helping you release past experiences that may still be affecting your day-to-day life.

When you come to Pure Turtle for psychotherapy or hypnotherapy, you’ll work in partnership with Michael Scott — our soon-to-be-qualified, NCH-registered therapist — to create meaningful change in your life. Our goal is to make every session a positive, uplifting, and productive experience.

People come to us for many reasons. You may want to feel calmer, less stressed, more confident, or more motivated. You may be looking to progress in your career, improve performance in your sport, make important decisions, strengthen or end relationships, or simply move toward a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.

Sometimes, people arrive feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to even begin — and that’s okay. Starting is the first step, and we’re here to guide you.

We can help if you are experiencing:

We will also offer hypnobirthing sessions, as well as support with decision-making, clarity, and goal setting.

At Pure Turtle, Michael uses a gentle blend of talk therapy, hypnotherapy, deep relaxation, and mindfulness to support your progress in a way that feels natural and empowering.
